Computing
At Applegarth Academy, we understand that we live in a world full of evolving technology. With this in mind, our computing curriculum encourages children to interact with technology in a responsible, safe and respectful manner. Our children will explore ideologies and procedures that underpin the workings of different programmes including understanding how to read, write and debug algorithms. Observational and recording skills will be developed through digital literacy elements with children exploring programmes such as Google Sheets, Slides and Docs. We have carefully selected appropriate resources and liaise with safeguarding leads and deputy leads to promote e-safety within these lessons as they progress throughout each year group.
