Music
Music at Applegarth is a very special part of our curriculum. It aims at engaging and inspiring students to develop a love of music through our singing lessons, where students are exposed to a diverse music curriculum. This helps our students to develop an appreciation for a wide variety of music from different cultures. Within our music curriculum, students are allowed to explore their talents and showcase this in our annual Awards Ceremony held at Fairfield Hall and our Winter Wonderland celebrations. At Applegarth we believe that music is an integral aspect of our curriculum as it enriches children’s lives in a multitude of ways including boosting confidence, connecting with others on a profound level and encouraging children to express themselves. Through our music curriculum students will be exposed to a range of different instruments where they will learn how to read musical notation in order to develop an understanding of how to become musical experts. These skills learnt, will prepare them for moving on to furthering their knowledge in music.
