We want to CELThe British Arts AwardEBRATE one of our Year 6 pupils who had taken part in a competition called, ‘The British Arts Award’. It is an annual international dance, singing and drama competition. She had to go through numerous rounds of being judged where she came 3rd place.

 

 


Black Books Matter Theatre CompanyA big thank you to Black Books Matter Theatre Company performing one of their amazing plays about anti-racism. The children were amazed by the performance and it helped the children to have an even greater understanding on commitment to anti-racism.

 


Today, we wrapLooking after ourselves and othersped up our learning about the NSPCC with an in school visit for Years 5 and 6. Our visitors were blown away with how much we could talk about the charity and different ways to look out for ourselves and others.


Connor Saunders CharityA truly touching and inspiring assembly with the Connor Saunders charity this morning which was followed by incredibly important first aid training. Thank you so much for sharing your story and inspiring us to want to be better.


Windrush GenerationAt Applegarth,  we discussed the amazing journey of the Windrush generation, who arrived in the UK 75 years ago. We heard stories from different people who were a part of this and we learnt about the importance of diversity and unity.
